Director Bio

My name is Suzi Legum, and I am the Preschool Director at Shepherd of the Valley Preschool and Church. I have been part of the Shepherd community for nearly three years, having also attended Shepherd as an elementary student in the early 1980s. Shepherd Preschool is a nurturing environment filled with compassionate individuals dedicated to the well-being of children.
My journey working with children began in high school when I became a camp counselor, a role I cherished for many years. The joy of watching children grow and return each year inspired me. After completing high school and taking early childhood education classes, I began my career at a local preschool as a teacher for three-year-olds. I taught for over 15 years before transitioning to a directorial role, which I have passionately pursued for more than a decade.
As a director, I take great pleasure in collaborating with families, promoting our exceptional school, and interacting with the children daily. My door is always open, and I look forward to welcoming you for a tour of our beautiful campus.
